Our Church

Fellowship Baptist Church of Bradenton, Florida seeks to bring glory to God…

  • by growing in grace and revealing through our congregation the new life that in found in following Jesus.
  • by faithfully proclaiming and sharing with others the good news of the Gospel, both locally and globally to all people.
  • by loving our community as the Lord Jesus Christ loves our community.  Jesus served others as He ministered here on earth, and we wish to serve others as well.
  • by teaching and holding up before each generation the teachings of Christ and the timeless truths of Scripture.

 What we believe:

We believe in the inerrant and verbally inspired Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).  We believe in the Trinity (Matthew 3:16, 17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Acts 5:3, 4). We believe in the Deity and Virgin Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:14; Isaiah 7:14).  We believe in God the Spirit and His ministry of convicting, regenerating, indwelling, and sanctifying the believer (Romans 8; Ephesians 1:13, 14; John 16:8-14). We believe that the Creation account of Genesis 1, 2 happened in six literal days (Genesis 1:1; Psalm 33:6; Hebrews 1:10; Hebrews11:3).  We believe that all of us are sinners who need to be saved by grace through faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior.  (Romans 10: 9, 10; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 1:12; 1 John 5:11-13) We believe that we are kept saved by the power of God. (1 Peter 1:3-5; John 10:28)  We believe that some of the spiritual gifts given to the Early Church were temporary and ceased upon the completion of the Scriptures. (1 Corinthians 13:8-10)  We believe in the personal premillennial return of Jesus for His Church before the start of the 7 years of Tribulation on the earth. (Romans 2:3-16; 1 Thessalonians 1:10; 5:9, 10; John 14:1-3)  We believe that after the Great Tribulation, Jesus will sit on the Throne of David and rule for 1000 years in a literal Kingdom on earth (Revelation 20:1-6; Matthew 19:28; Daniel 7:20-22)  We believe that there is a real Heaven to be gained and a real Hell to avoid. (Revelation 20:12-15; Luke 16:19-31; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 2 Peter 3:13)  A more detailed statement of our doctrinal beliefs is available at the church upon request.

We are a Baptist church.

We are not hesitant to say that we are an unaffiliated Baptist church that seeks to believe, obey, and follow the truths of the Word of God, our final authority in our faith and practice.  We know that not all who call themselves Baptists are pleasing to God. And we also know that there will be more than just Baptists in Heaven!  Our congregation is made up of those who have been Baptists for many years, but also of those who are from a variety of church backgrounds.

We are an active church.

Our church is not large, but we seek to be a place where you find spiritual support in your walk with God, and where your family finds encouragement and spiritual growth.  We have Bible studies, Sunday School, and a Women’s Fellowship.
